Isla Santisima was born from a love of feeling expressed in our skin, but also choosing high quality eco-friendly products that are designed with fashion in mind.

We are founded in the idea that being health-conscious + looking great are not mutually exclusive values. 

Sustainability and ethical practices are at the core of our brand, influencing everything from our materials to our partnerships and manufacturers. We care, and we are glad you do too.

Isla designs collections (coming summer 2026) center around a print and a color palette. Each collection is distinct, small batch, and reversible! Within these collections are different styles that can be mix n matched to other pieces.

Health-Conscious and Eco-Friendly materials that feel so right

A flattering fit is just as essential as the materials we chose to work with.

We use Fluity Amni Soul Eco ® – In our opinion this is the highest end material available on the market regarding its environmental impact and soft hand. Amni Soul Eco ® is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 Certified, fast drying, eco-friendly, provides uv protection, is easy to care for. This certification is the hallmark of a fabric you’d want against your skin. What more could you ask for? OH, and she's the softest true eco-friendly fabric on the market.

What is Amni Soul Eco ® ?

Light – (CO2) ® was the first article of knitwear to be produced with biodegradable nylon. The formulation of this yarn has been improved to allow garments made from it to decompose rapidly after disposal in landfills. The decomposition that takes decades to occur in regular nylon and your typical "recycled" fabrics doesn't tell the full story. The "we turn water bottles into swimsuits" or "recycled fabrics" one-liners are often more greenwashing than truth. These "recycled" fabrics still need a good amount of new nylon to work, and the story being sold with this concept is too good to be true. That's why Amni Soul Eco® stands out so much- it rapidly breaks down into organic matter in anaerobic environments.

When Amni Soul Eco® finds it's final resting place in the landfill (with high exposure to greenhouse gases), it fully decomposes in less than 3 years. This biodegradable nylon will last a long time in your closet and on your body, but is cleverly designed to breakdown using a scientific composition that nudges nature to do it's work when it's time.

What is Oeko-Tex?

OEKO-TEX is a globally recognized testing and certification system for textiles and leather, ensuring they are free from harmful substances. It aims to provide consumers with a reliable label for safe and sustainable products. The certification process involves rigorous laboratory testing according to established criteria and standards. OEKO-TEX provides a third-party label for textiles and leather, assuring consumers that products have been tested for potentially harmful substances- including pesticides, heavy metals, and other chemicals. 

Why should I care?

Our Skin is our largest organ, and the most susceptible to pollutants and toxins. Not only should we care about the environmental effects our choices make, but we need to be very aware of the materials we place on our largest and most sensitive organ.
